About The Coach - me!
Kellie Sagadore

I was born on the mainland of British Columbia in 1970 and raised at Cordero Lodge on the coast of British Columbia since 1979.

I have suffered with an eating disorder called Bulimia Nervosa since I was 17, but have been a recovered Bulimic since 1998. During my recovery I took many different paths and have learned so many new things about myself, the first thing being that only I can help myself. I worked hard and still am working hard to stay focused and achieve new goals I have set for myself. I am married now, and a mom of two boys.

I had waited for many loved ones and friends to tell me what I needed to do. Sometimes I wanted them to change their behavior so that the process of healing wouldn't be so painful. I needed to look within myself to really see where I wanted to go and what I was going to do with my life. For starters, I needed to heal feelings and let go of the past. It was a lot of work, but well worth it!

I also realized that when I "assume" I "make an ass out of you and me" (ASS-U-ME). Let's be honest here. Assuming means we don't have all the information; we fill in the blank spots with our opinions and biases, solving nothing. It seems to me that I stopped communicating effectively. I had help in many different paths and in many different forms however, nothing was setting in.

Listening more clearly and actually hearing what others are saying was the source of a lot of useful information, helping me to make decisions that in turn, started to take me where I wanted to go.

...and that is right here!!!! I took the Saskatchewan New Start Life Skills Coach Certificate training course in Duncan British Columbia, through Malaspina College. Please click to view our goals. If I am able to share with you a part of what I learned then we all will be the better for it.
